1.1  School Profile
            Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) is a public educational institution in Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines. Founded in 1944, the school started out as a secondary school called the Camiling Boys/Girls High School. Decades later, it was converted into Tarlac College of Agriculture (TCA) through PD 609 issued in 1974. By 2016, TCA officially became Tarlac Agricultural University through Republic Act No. 108000 signed by former president Benigno S. Aquino III.
The university is mandated by law to provide advanced education, professional instruction, and training in the fields of agriculture, agribusiness management, science and technology, engineering, teacher education, and other relevant fields of study. It shall also undertake research, extension services as well as production activities in support of the development of the province, and to provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.
Currently, TAU offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Agriculture, Forestry, Business, Education, Management, Engineering, Technology, Arts and Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine. The university is officially recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), and the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

Mission Statement Of TAU-LABORATORY HIGH SCHOOL
Tarlac Agricultural University-Laboratory high school is to enhance optimum development of the student with emphasis on the internalization of values to make them self fulfilled, effective, and efficient in their roles in the social groups to which they belong. It aims to equip the learners with scientific, intellectual, and work skills necessary for the higher level of learning or in the competitive world of work as well as contribute actively in nation-building and universal brotherhood.
Program Objective
1. To develop the specific potentials of each individual- the moral, spiritual, cultural, socio-civic, and physical aspects of a student’s personality and society’s benefit  ;
2. To develop in the individual the sense of belonging to a national community;
3. To develop intellectual and work skills in the individual focused on the values that he must develop for the meaningful and purposeful utilization of student skills.

            Tarlac Agricultural University – Laboratory School is an integrated school under the management of TAU College of Education. This school emphasizes the science process and agricultural science. The TAU-Laboratory school consists of Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS). The JHS consists of 3 classes, which are Science A, Science B, and Agriculture-Homemaking. Meanwhile, the SHS divides into 4 classes, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), ABM (Accountancy, business, and management), HS ( Humanities and social sciences), and Agri-home Economics.

 1.2 Academic Support System
The TAU-Laboratory school is currently having some buildings under repairment, but facilities are sufficient. The TAU-laboratory school is adopting the green campus concept, which is being the reason behind the existence of many rice fields and trees in the campus's vicinity. The total amount of the teacher is sufficient to teach students and have a good teaching system. The school has a basketball court, football field, library, and separated laboratories for biology, chemistry, and physics, even though still integrated with the university.

1.3  Teaching System
Teaching system in TAU- Laboratory school is mainly using the lecture method, discussion method, and problem-solving. The teachers already use the K to 12 Curriculum. Each session is consist of 1-hour lesson, which is repeated daily from Monday to Friday. The lesson starts at 8 a.m. and ended at 5 p.m. in the TAU- Laboratory school.

1.4  Materials and other learning sources
The main learning sources in TAU-Laboratory school are books provided by the school. The school also provides projectors, televisions, speakers, whiteboards, and blackboard for teaching the learning materials to the students.

1.5  Measurement and Evaluation System
Assessment is a process to keep track of learner's progress in relation to the learning standards and in the development of 21st-century skills; to promote self-reflection and personal accountability among students about their learning and to provide bases for the profiling of student performance on the learning competencies and standards of the curriculum.
Classroom assessment measures the achievement of competencies by the learners. The evaluation system that is used in TAU-Laboratory school is including short quizzes, long quizzes, homework, discussions, presentations, and also the mid-term and end-term exam. The teachers give the evaluation result at the end of 4 science quarters for each semester. On each quarter measurement consists of 40% written work, 40% performance task, and 20% quarterly assessment. Meanwhile, the final evaluation score is the average score of all science quarters.
